Submission information for artists and curators -
We accept proposals for the Freeark Gallery, Sculpture Garden, FlexSpace, and the Riverside Town Hall for a limited number of exhibitions.
The Freeark Gallery accepts proposal submissions for group exhibitions.
Sculpture Garden proposals are accepted for installations typically on view for one to three month periods during the fall, winter, spring, and summer seasons.
FlexSpace is centered on community engagement and activities. We accept proposals from artists looking for a place to explore new materials or ways of working, to provide active programming, and interact with community. While the FlexSpace also accepts submissions for exhibitions, we are most interested in projects involving experimentation, artistic development (as in a collaboration or studio residency), and community outreach such as workshops or interactive art.
Riverside Town Hall exhibitions feature work by area artists working in two dimensions. Town Hall exhibitions are hosted in the lobby of Riverside’s Town Hall, celebrating the exchange of support and generosity between the community of Riverside and the Riverside Arts Center.
Proposals are accepted on a rolling basis.
Please note, curators/artists are required to install and deinstall their exhibitions with support from RAC staff. Attendance at the reception and at least one community event such as a talk or workshop is expected.
